This vintage Lamson chef is quite the piece. At almost 20” over all length, you’ve got a culinary short sword. The blade has been thinned from it’s original profile, but some of the logo is still visible. The handle is wood covered in a red resin giving it some texture. There is a subtle gap between the bolster and handle, but the entire knife is sturdy and ready for use.

Carbon steel can rust if neglected. To avoid corrosion and rust, be sure to wash and dry your knife immediately after use. Leaving moisture or acidic material on the blade will cause corrosion. Every carbon steel knife will develop a blue grey patina, yellow or orange is rust.
