There are no makers marks on the knife. It was most likely made soon after WW2 as the US had a surplus of aluminum which was used in a variety of industries. The carbon blade steel is very hard and will have excellent edge retention. The handle is slightly beveled which makes the knife easy to hold or use when wet. Larger hands will likely not fit well in the space allotted, medium to smaller hands will fit very well. Carbon steel will rust if neglected. Be sure to hand wash and thoroughly dry carbon steel knives after use.
