Got a unique one here - custom slicer with wood and brass handle using a Marvel Armstrong-Blum MFG saw blade. Marvel saw blades have been used in custom hunting knives and cooking knives. Marvel is known for their industrial metal cutting machinery. Expect good edge retention from tool steel. The wooden scales are pinned on top of thin brass which covers the tang and top of handle; essentially acting as a reinforced bolster. Definitely a unique piece to add to the collection. There are a few gaps between the wood and brass, all have been filled with epoxy resin. Carbon steel will rust if neglected. Be sure to hand wash and thoroughly dry carbon steel knives after use.
