Upon first glance, we have a Chinese cleaver. The handle is traditional Chinese style, however the blade is much thicker compared to most Chinese cleavers. The blade is very thick at 4mm and will be able to withstand heavy chopping. The balance is far forward due to the Chinese style handle and thick blade, aiding in the chop. Be sure to hand wash and thoroughly dry carbon steel knives after use.
